Larry O'Roark, a possessive and jealous boxer, becomes distracted by the presence of his fiancée Jo and her employer, Mr. Lambert, at his big fight and loses the match. He swears off his jealousy and marries Jo, but they soon discover their financial instability. Jo seeks employment from Lambert, but Larry becomes irrationally jealous and ends up killing Lambert. Jo takes the blame and is on trial for the murder, while Larry wanders in a daze. Just as the jury is about to announce the verdict, Larry snaps out of his amnesia. However, he is still sentenced to the electric chair. The conclusion remains unclear.
