Dodge City (1939)






1939 western film that stars Errol Flynn as Wade Hatton, a cattleman who travels to Dodge City, Kansas to take over a ranch. When he arrives, he finds that the town is controlled by a corrupt businessman named Jeff Surrett (played by Bruce Cabot) who is trying to drive the small ranchers out of business. Hatton decides to stay in Dodge City and help the ranchers fight against Surrett and his gang. Along the way, he falls in love with a saloon owner named Abbie Irving (played by Olivia de Havilland).
