To Have and Have Not (1944)

France has fallen and Harry Morgan is earning his living on the island of Martinique by renting out his cabin cruiser. He turns down an offer to work for the French underground preferring to remain neutral, but when he is brought face to face with the true nature of the Vichy police, he begins to question his own attitude of cynical and tough detachment.
