Rio Rita (1942)

In a Texas border town in 1942, spies are making mysterious radio broadcasts, via South America, to a foreign power. A local hotel is, unknown to its owner Rita Winslow, the nerve-centre for this conspiracy and the manager, Maurice Craindall, is a Nazi agent. When two broken-down vaudevillians, Doc and Wishy, stumble into the situation, they are quickly voted by the villains as 'those most likely to be liquidated'.
