Romance of the Underworld (1928)
A young woman, the girlfriend of a gangster, is apprehended by the police during a raid on the gangster's speakeasy. A compassionate officer assists her in leaving her criminal lifestyle. She takes on a job as a waitress to save for college and falls in love with a rich and attractive man, unaware of her past association with the gangster.
