In thirteenth-century England, two young Saxons who were still upset about the Norman Conquest join a caravan bound for Persia and the realms of Kublai Khan, whose forces they join in battles against the Chinese. After numerous adventures, they return to England, bringing back with them the wonders of the Orient. 1
