Sonnenallee (1999)
A bunch of kids spend their childhood on the Sonnenallee in East Berlin, near one of the limited border crossings between East and West Germany open to German citizens. Their misadventures, along with those of their families, visiting West German friends and relatives, and East German border guards, showcase the everyday absurdity of life on the Sonnenallee and throughout the former East Germany.
