Shoot the Works (1934)
Nicky Nelson's carnival on 42nd Street struggles to turn a profit, so he tries to audition for a vaudeville agent with the help of singer Lily Racquel. After losing Lily's money to gambling, Nicky and his team split up. However, Lily and Nicky reunite, improve the song together, and perform it at the Yellow Dragon Cafe, catching the attention of the agent who previously rejected Nicky. Lily and Joe become successful performers, but Nicky struggles to earn back Lily's love and respect. In the end, Nicky wins Lily back and becomes the emcee for the radio show.
