In 2019, Deckard is a Blade Runner, a government-backed assassin tasked with hunting down and "retiring" replicants, human-like androids created to serve as slaves in far colonies. However, Deckard has begun to question the morality of his job and has started to believe that the replicants may be right in their desire to fully integrate into society. This makes his final mission, to kill Rachael, a beautiful advanced replicant who believes she is human, even more difficult as he must decide whether to kill her or let her live.
