The Magnificent Seven (1960)

The peasant inhabitants of the Mexican village of Ixcatlan are at the mercy of a ruthless bandit, Calvera, and his men. In desperation, they hire a band of American gunmen, headed by (and recruited by) Chris Adams, for protection. The villagers are trained for combat but Calvera, though driven off after a pitched battle, manages to turn the tables.
