1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992)
The true story of Christopher Columbus's (Gerard Depardieu) discovery of America. Columbus gets Queen Isabella (Sigourney Weaver) support for his next expedition to sail westwards to find a new route to Asia. He discovers the New World and tries to find peace with the indigenous people. The settlers however are only interested in the exploitation of the new land and the inhabitants.
