The Rising of the Moon (1957)





A series of three short stories that showcase traditional rural life in Ireland. "The Majesty of the Law" features a policeman who must detain a strongly traditional man for assault, causing the officer and the entire village, including the victim, to sympathize with the accused. "One Minute's Wait" focuses on a small train station and its passengers, highlighting humorous moments. The third story, "1921," revolves around an Irish nationalist who is facing execution and makes a daring escape. Tyrone Power introduces each story.
