Star Wars (1977)

Carrie Fisher - Star Wars

Princess Leia is on her way home to Alderaan when her ship is intercepted by Darth Vader of the Evil Empire. He is after the plans for the Death Star, which Leia has obtained. Just before being captured, she encodes a hologram message into R2-D2 and sends the droid and C-3PO in an escape pod to the planet Tatooine. On Tatooine, a farm boy named Luke finds the droids, and brings them to an old Jedi Knight named Ben. After Luke's aunt and uncle are killed, he and the droids team up with Han Solo, a charming outlaw and his Wookiee companion Chewbacca to escape on Solo's ship, the Millennium Falcon.
