Laura Fischer meets with a psychologist. She tells the therapist that, after two years of multiple sexual assaults on female students who were riding bicycles in a nearby forest near their college, Emma Machielsen has formed a committee with Josien Schippers, Marieke Kopermode, and Bonnie Javoer to discuss potential solutions with the college dean. However, the dean insists that he does not have the funds to improve security and can only offer three buses for the students. The group decides to bike together through the forest, but when Marieke is late, they leave her behind on campus. She chooses to go through the forest alone and is subsequently assaulted by the serial rapist. Her friends decide to investigate the crimes independently and create a list of potential suspects, ultimately leading to a tragic outcome.
