American actor, winner of an Academy Award for Best Actor for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) and for The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)

Fredric March was an American actor who appeared in films, television, and stage productions. He was active in Hollywood from the 1920s to the 1960s and appeared in more than 70 films during his career. March is perhaps best known for his roles in films such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor, and The Best Years of Our Lives, for which he received another Academy Award. March was a highly respected and influential figure in the film industry, and was one of the first actors to win two Academy Awards for Best Actor. Fredric March was also a successful stage actor and won a Tony Award for his performance in the play Death of a Salesman. He died in 1975 at the age of 77.
