The Headless Horseman (1922)

The village of Sleepy Hollow is preparing to welcome a new schoolteacher, Ichabod Crane, who is arriving from New York City. Ichabod has already heard of the village's infamous ghost, a headless horseman who is said to be searching for the head he lost in battle. Upon his arrival, Ichabod begins to pursue the attractive and wealthy Katrina Van Tassel, which provokes the jealousy of Abraham Van Brunt, who also has feelings for her. Ichabod's strict and narrow-minded teaching methods also alienate some of the villagers, causing many to want him to leave the village.
