The Nigger (1915)

Philip Morrow believes that he is from an aristocratic family as he grows up. Clif Noyes, a distiller of whiskey, convinces Morrow to run for Governor. Once elected, Morrow decides to sign a Prohibition Bill, which would ruin Noyes' business. Noyes visits Morrow and presents evidence that Morrow is not of aristocratic heritage. Despite this, Morrow pushes the Prohibition Bill through, resigns from office and sacrifices his personal relationships to dedicate his life to improving the lives of Black people.
