A Parisian Knight (1925)
Van Bibber arrives in Paris and is promptly appointed a detective by the police prefect, tasked with tracking down a kidnapped child. While visiting a café with his group, he becomes incensed by a rough man's advances toward his fiancée. A brawl breaks out, during which Van Bibber slips away, disguises himself in women's clothing, and makes a hasty exit. By sheer chance, he stumbles into an Apache gang's hideout, where he discovers the kidnapped infant. Pretending to be a nurse, he gains the trust of the gang, eventually escapes with the child, and successfully returns the infant to safety. Van Bibber is then congratulated by the police, the townspeople, and his fiancée for his bravery and cleverness.
