The terrible death of Dorothy Carlsson shocks her twin sister Ellen and their magnate father. Convinced it is a case of murder rather than suicide, Ellen takes time off from her New York job to investigate in Philadelphia where the young woman was a student. Believing she has a prime suspect, Ellen is unaware that the real mastermind is a lot closer to home.
