Frankenweenie (2012)
Young inventor/filmaker Victor Frankenstein’s beloved dog Sparky dies. The bull terrier played the lead in all of Victor's science fiction films. Inspired by a lesson on electricity and dead tissue from his science teacher Mr Rzykruski, Victor devises an ingenious way to bring Sparky back to life and succeeds. Trying to keep this incredible feat a secret, he is blackmailed by a schoolmate and must bring other dead pets back to life. As the other relived animals transform into monsters who attack people, Sparky must come to rescue the small town of New Holland.
Based on Tim Burton's short film of the same name from 1984.
