Het Wonderlijke Leven van Willem Parel (1955)

Comedian Wim Sonneveld is fed up with his most well-known character, Willem Parel the organ grinder. He feels that his creation is becoming more popular than he is. Parel, surprisingly, has enough life to step out of a dressing room poster and into the real world. When he starts to organize actual organ grinders from all over the country to lobby for equal rights, the police naturally target Wim Sonneveld.
