The Merry Monarch (1933)
The fantasy story draws from King Solomon's many wives, with Good King Pausole (Emil Jannings) selecting a different wife for every day of the year. However, when he spends the day of a wife played by Sidney Fox searching for his favorite daughter, who has eloped with a stranded airman from a modern world, the wife protests. Her exposure to this different world inspires her to come up with ideas to secure her title as queen for a lasting period.
