Jesse Adam Eisenberg is an American actor, mostly known for his Oscar nominated role in The Social Network

Eisenberg was born in Queens, New York in 1983. He started acting in plays at the age of 10. After his first professional role in an off-Braodway play he made his Broadway debut as an understudy in 1996.

He made his screen debut with the television series Get Real in 1999. After his first leading role in the film Roger Dodger (2002), he appeared in such films as The Squid and the Whale (2005) and The Education of Charlie Banks (2007).

Eisenberg's breakthrough starring role was as the neurotic Columbus in Zombieland. In 2010, he played the lead role of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. It earned him an Academy Award Nomination for Best Actor.

Eisenberg planned to become a playwriter, but the success of The Squid and the Whale made him continue his acting career. In the end of 2011 he will make his playwriting debut in Asuncion, he will also act in the play.
