Daughter of the Dragon (1931)

Warner Oland - Daughter of the Dragon

Princess Ling Moy, a beautiful Chinese noble, lives next to Dr. Fu Manchu, a brilliant but evil scientist seeking to conquer the world. She is in a relationship with Ah Kee, who is secretly a spy trying to stop Fu's evil plans, but she is unaware of his true identity. In a shocking twist, Fu Manchu turns out to be Princess Ling's father. When she finds out, she must decide whether to support her father or join forces with those trying to stop him. Despite its outdated nature and limited appearance by Warner Oland, the film moves quickly, has plenty of action, and features strong performances from Wong and Hayakawa. If you're a fan of Charley Chan, it's worth watching to see how much Oland used from Fu Manchu in creating Charley Chan.
