Hell-Ship Morgan (1936)
Captain Ira "Hell-Ship" Morgan befriends Jim Allen after a fight in a waterfront café. Morgan marries a desperate girl, Mary Taylor, and gives her the magnificent Callao pearl as a wedding present. However, Mary and Jim fall in love and give the pearl to a sailor to keep their secret. When Morgan finds out, a storm comes up, and he saves Jim's life but breaks his own back.
