Daniel (1971)

Bob de Lange, Marja Goud, Karin Larsen, Andre van den Heuvel - Daniel

After traveling the world for a year, 20-year-old Daniel returns to his dull parents who lead their lives in their own way. They mock sexual freedom with their trendy clothes, causing Daniel discomfort, leading him to flee to the countryside in search of peace. However, he finds that the countryside is not without its own frustrations and sexual obsessions. Even the head of a conservative peasant family is unable to escape these issues. When Daniel's parents arrive to bring him back, a disagreement occurs, bringing the two parties closer. Eventually, Daniel manages to distance himself from all sexual excesses, wishing he could be a tree. And then, he transforms into one.
